The Beginning
1896
Remigio Pratesi opens a workshop in Pistoia, a Tuscan town not far from his native village of Casalguidi.
1899
After two years of commissioning a set of linens to be handwoven as a betrothal gift, Remigio Pratesi marries the woman of his dreams. The trousseau sets the foundation for what is later known as the legendary Pratesi linens.
1906
Remigio Pratesi opens a linens workshop in Pistoia, a Tuscan town near his native village Casalguidi, and the house of Pratesi is born.
1927
Remigio’s son Brunetto creates the “Three Lines” design—now known as the iconic Tre Righe collection—expressly for Coco Chanel.
1936
Brunetto Pratesi’s iconic “Chains” motif is introduced—its timeless design is henceforth often imitated.
1946
Brunetto opens his first boutique in the luxury holiday resort of Forte dei Marmi on the Italian Mediterranean.
1972
Pratesi opens its first US boutique on Madison Avenue and soon becomes a favorite among celebrities and le beau monde.
1990s
Pratesi flourishes globally, with stores in Paris, Cannes, Berlin, Odessa, Istanbul, Jeddah, and Riyad.
2000
Pratesi increases its retail footprint in the United States, expanding in Europe and around the globe.
2022
Pratesi relaunches the brand, showcasing its luxurious Italian-made bed and bath collections, featuring the iconic Tre Righe and Treccia.
2023
Pratesi introduces Tre Righe Splendore, a classic reimagined. Recreating the embroidered three-line motif upon a lustrous Italian-woven, 100% extra-long-staple cotton sateen.
2024
Pratesi returns to Palm Beach with a new flagship store, allowing customers to explore the world of Pratesi and transport to a reality of pure luxury.
